Before you start

• A submitted SkillSelect EOI showing Victoria (or 'Any State or Territory') and the relevant visa subclass(es).
• An occupation aligned with one of Victoria's target sectors: Health & Medical Research, Digital, Agri-food, Advanced Manufacturing, New Energy, or Education.
• A positive skills assessment from the relevant assessing body for your nominated occupation.
• Valid English test results at Competent English or above (IELTS 6 / equivalent). Higher band scores strengthen the registration.
• For Subclass 491 specifically: evidence of intent to live and work in regional Victoria — a designated regional employer offer or strong regional ties is decisive.
